Laptop Not Charging
What You Can Do: Check physical connections and battery drivers.
Solution 1: Check Charger and Ports Steps to Do It:
- Check if the cable is securely connected to the laptop and wall outlet.
- Try a different outlet or power strip.
- Inspect charger and port for damage. Result: Laptop should show "Plugged in, charging" status.
Solution 2: Reinstall Battery Drivers Steps to Do It:
- Right-click Start, and choose Device Manager.
- Expand Batteries.
- Right-click and uninstall:
- Microsoft AC Adapter
- Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery
- Click Action > Scan for hardware changes.
- Restart the laptop. Result: The charging function should return.
